Quick Start Tips for Using Typeset

Welcome to Typeset.com! Whether you’re creating marketing decks, eBooks, or social media content, this quick guide will help you get started fast and make the most out of your new creative workspace.



Finding Your Learning Center

To access helpful guides and tutorials:

  1. Click “Learning Typeset” in the top right corner of your dashboard.

  2. Here, you’ll find a collection of guides and resources to help you explore different features and workflows.



Alternatively, click the “Learn how to use Typeset” card to launch the step-by-step onboarding guide. This interactive walkthrough will help you create your first project with confidence — perfect for new users.





Exploring Templates

Looking for inspiration or a head start?

  1. Click “Templates” in the top right corner.

  2. Browse through over 80+ professionally designed templates created by experts in marketing, eBook design, and social media.

  3. Choose a template that fits your goals and customize it — adjust text, visuals, and layout to make it your own.

Templates are a great way to save time and learn design best practices directly from professionals.





Setting Up Your Branding

Keep your content consistent and on-brand:

  1. Click your profile icon in the top right corner.

  2. Select “Manage Branding.”

  3. Upload your logo, choose your brand colors, and set your default fonts.

  4. Or use the "Import Branding" button to import branding from a website!

Once your branding is configured, all new projects will automatically use your brand’s style when you invoke your branded theme! — ensuring every asset aligns perfectly with your company identity.

Creating Content

When you’re ready to create, click “Create”on your homepage and select from:

  • Deck – for presentations, slide decks, and webinars

  • Document – for long-form content like eBooks or reports

  • Social Media – for posts and campaigns

You’ll then choose how to start your project:

 CoAuthor

Blank Project

Start from scratch and build your content manually — type, paste, or use AI on a page-by-page basis for full creative control.

 Import

Bring in existing work by importing a .txt, .docx, or Markdown file. This lets you enhance your old documents with Typeset’s design and layout tools.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I save my changes? 

A: Typeset constantly and automatically saves your progress as you go! If you make changes while not connected to the internet, make sure not to close Typeset before reconnecting.

Q: Can I upload my own images?

A: Yes! Simply type "image" into a new line, then either drag and drop your image into the selector or choose your images from the file browser. These images will be saved under "Your Files" for future use.

Q: What kind of charts or diagrams can I make in Typeset?

A: Currently, in the app, you can directly build line, bar, column, funnel, pie, and sunburst charts. You can even build flow charts directly in Typeset, too!
