Types of Templates
Project Templates
Project Templates are full-length, pre-built projects designed to provide a ready-made framework for your content. You can find them directly in your Typeset dashboard:
Navigate to the Templates section at the top of the page.
Use the Filter option (top right corner) to narrow down templates by format—Deck, Document (eBook), or Social Media.
Hover over any template to preview it, or click Use Template to open it in the Typeset editor.
Page Templates
Page Templates are designed for adding individual pre-styled pages into your existing project. You can access them in two ways:
From the Editor: Type
"/template"
and press ENTER to open the template options. Select the desired template to add it to your current project. From the Page Navigation Panel: Click New from Template located just below the last page of your project.
Once inserted, simply click on any text or image within the page to edit and replace content.
How to Use Templates
Using Project Templates
Start by selecting a Project Template that aligns with your goals (e.g., webinar, eBook, or social media post).
Customize section by section rather than pasting an entire document at once. This ensures that your content flows seamlessly with the template design.
You can change the format of a Project Template at any time. Open the project, click on the Themes tab (top right), and choose between Document, Presentation, or Social Media formats to suit your content.
Using Page Templates
Invoke Page Templates within your current project for single-page additions.
After inserting a page, replace the placeholder text and visuals with your content.
Page Templates can be mixed and matched with your existing design, providing flexibility to add new sections with ease.
Editing Templates
Once you’ve selected a template, customizing it is straightforward:
Replace text by clicking into any content block within the editor panel.
Swap out placeholder images by uploading your own visuals by clicking the replace button or invoking the image tool by typing /image on a new line.
Adjust design elements such as colors, fonts, and layouts to match your branding.
FAQs
Can I paste my entire project into a Project Template?
No. Unlike blank projects, Project Templates don’t support pasting entire pages or multiple pages at once. You’ll need to paste the content section by section or manually replace the template text
Can I use Project Templates for different categories (e.g., use an eBook template for a webinar)?
Absolutely! Typeset templates are interchangeable. For instance, you can start with an eBook template and convert it into a presentation or social media format. To do this, open the Themes tab in the top right corner and select a different project type.
